Physician Health & Wellbeing -- PWSAT, PWSAT-R, and PWSAT-S
Developed for a study underway at the Center for Health Futures, the Physician Wellbeing Self Assessment Tool (PWSAT) measures physicians' health and wellbeing across bio-physiological, psycho-emotional, socio-relational, and religio-spiritual domains. Benefits of participating in the study include (1) identifying the best predictors of physician health and wellbeing, (2) development of a final survey instrument that can help physicians self-assess their own health and wellbeing, and (3) the incorporation of the self-assessment in medical residency curricula to help physicians learn to maintain balance for themselves and to treat patients as whole persons. This on-line study is open to physicians (PWSAT), medical residents (PWSAT-R), and medical students (PWSAT-S). For more information, contact Richard Bogue, Ph.D., principal investigator.
As a participant, you will receive a confidential, objective analysis of your own wellness; providing valuable insight into your life and how wellbeing issues may be affecting your personal and professional aims. Your scores may be anonymously aggregated for use at physician group events, or shared with administrators, medical leaders, and medical education institutions to develop and improve programs designed to help physicians achieve greater wellbeing in their personal and professional lives.
See how the PWSAT an help you and your institution align with important accreditation standards!

The Wellbeing Self-Assessment Tool (WSAT)
The Wellbeing Self-Assessment Tool (WSAT) seeks to better understand individuals’ health challenges and to support and sustain their wellbeing. We define wellbeing as the intentional cultivation of an optimal life experience, and have developed the WSAT to enable wellbeing. WSAT allows people to reflect on their wellbeing in four domains: bio-physiological, psycho-emotional, sociological, and spiritual.
